  • ERP works by breaking the avoidance cycle that keeps OCD alive. You face the feared situation while resisting the urge to perform compulsions, and your brain learns the threat isn't real. This takes courage and repetition, but it rewires how your mind responds.

  • Effective OCD treatment typically requires at least weekly sessions, plus daily exposure practice on your own. Some people benefit from more frequent support, especially early on. We'll determine the right frequency during your evaluation based on severity and goals.

  • Once-weekly therapy alone often isn't sufficient for meaningful OCD progress. We can discuss flexible options, including higher-frequency packages or intensive programs that work with your schedule. The key is consistency and daily practice between sessions.

  • Insurance is accepted only for standard therapy sessions when medically appropriate. Structured OCD packages are private pay. In Nevada, some plans are accepted through Alma-supported networks. California clients pay privately for all services. We'll clarify your options during the evaluation.

  • The comprehensive OCD evaluation takes two hours and assesses severity, functional impact, and the right level of care for you. We discuss your OCD history, current struggles, and treatment goals to create a tailored plan that fits your needs.
